Sakuragi・桜義・Bathhouse KamisoriA Kamisori exclusively made for the yuya () the traditional Japanese public bathhouse, where a professional bather called a sansuke would shave heads and faces in a steaming, wet environment all day long. The thick, heavy tang was a necessity. Wet hands, continuous use, no folding handle the very thick nakago was the handle. We know exactly what this razor was used for because it tells us. This impressive razor was made in the Showa period and has a length of 17

in outstanding condition with its original rattan handle wrapping and original paper box

It is a special order made for retail company in Japan by Iwasakis Workshop

We added a Rattan handle wrapping and lacquered it with several layers of Urushi

Some spots remain where we removed surface rust
