Dolomite with Quartz (Fe and Mn bearing) (near Kutnohorite)This piece was collected in 1974 by my grandfather, Dave Bergman, and was part of my fathers collection for over 20 years and then came to me. The piece features vitreous, tightly intergrown rhombs of soft orange pink iron and manganese bearing Dolomite (approaching Kutnohorite chemically) which are associated with a few sharp, lustrous, gemmy colorless Quartz crystals on matrix. well-formed crystals

For the most part

along with micro tabular white-green crystals of Paravauxite and tan blades of Sigloite (which forms as an alteration of Paravauxite) plus whitish spheres of Wavellite and a few scattered gem quality Quartz crystals on firm Quartz-Diorite porphyry matrix

but with strong backlighting
