It's not often you see a quilt with a Mourning print as the main background, and the star block is very unusual as well. The block is called the Tea Leaf Star an traditionally would have been pieced with Y seams and diamonds. I redrafted the block without diamonds and no Y seams! The blocks have infinite possibilities for color and value placement to make a wonderful collection
