A Mother’s Tribute | Victorian Mourning Book |1835Okay, so it technically misses the Victorian era by ONE year. An early example for a mourning or consolation book. This small chapbook published by the American Sunday School Union is a memorial for a chronically ill girl who died at the age of 9, written by her mother. Bound in marbled boards with a black cloth spine. Wear to the corners and the title plate on the spine. Some dampstains that affect only the last page & back endpaper.
