Lava BowlsLava bowls are so called because of the surface of the moon glaze used on the outside. It bubbles and explodes during firing and creates a wonderfully textured surface. Thrown on the wheel from stoneware clay and trimmed by hand. Food safe. Probably best not to put it in the dishwasher. The glazing is inspired by the beaches of Gower in South Wales where I grew up and still visit

Slab built from stoneware clay and fired to 1250 degrees so should be fine living inside or out

and amber with little speckles of pink

Fired to 1240 degrees and food safe

It's mainly a lovely blue but as it "breaks" over the texture it turns a slight burnt brown
