The AI Act eighteen months on: what local authorities should do with it
The European regulation on artificial intelligence came into force in August 2024 and its obligations apply in stages. Beyond theoretical fears, what does it actually change for a local authority?
- Auditing a decision algorithm: where to start, with what skills?
- Field experience: routing of social assistance requests, predictive models in urban planning, public chatbots
- Digital sovereignty: who controls the tool that takes, or helps to take, an administrative decision? Who keeps control of the training data?
- Organising AI governance in a local authority or a company: which bodies, which responsibilities?

Multi-service projects and the AMC standard: the local authorities' viewTen years on
Since the first AMC cards were issued in 2016-2017, the standard has been the basis for several local authority projects. Time to take stock.
- Actual uses: mobility, libraries, sport and leisure, culture, recycling centres, access to schools, etc.
- From decision to first service: what is a realistic timetable?
- AMC or fragmented solutions: what does the budget comparison show?
- Families and households: how does the standard handle shared uses?
- And what about the AMC observatory?
